This Organization is a leader in health care financing and has served as a non profit agency for over fifty years. It has a network of independent, locally operated companies.

Training Project

Objectives

In 1999, the Organization arranged the payment of more than $5.6 billion in health care benefits for 2.9 million members. The Company has a large staff of analysts who are responsible for creating highly specialized reporting and graphing analysis on claim data. They are also responsible for tracking and analyzing preferred provider utilization expenditures.

Resolutions

Destiny Corporation consultants met with their staff to understand their needs. This led to the design of a comprehensive training package for their analysts. Destiny was open to customizing training classes to fit the Organization's operational needs. “We offered a flexible implementation schedule of training courses”. Because of the lack of training rooms at their site, Destiny had to teach in meeting rooms, conference rooms and hotel rooms. The same training was implemented in Chattanooga and Memphis.

Benefits

The goal of the training assignment was to give the analysts the skill level and knowledge to optimally utilize existing systems and SAS software to support the Organization. This training helped the analysts increase productivity and implement efficiencies in their daily work. There is now a shorter turnaround time for analysis and reporting. Management can make better decisions in a timelier manner with this improved support from their employees.
